Easy to Play, Hard to Master
Ive been a fan of Rayman ever sinced Ive played it on the PSOne, but lost interest after the awful Rabbids spin-offs. However, with a semi-failed return that was Origins (but found a cult following), and then the even better Legends, I refound my love for this series, even downloading the original on my PlayStation Vita.
Then came mobile-exclusive Adventures. And now, this.
Though it differs in graphics, offering a pixel-esque look (love pixel art styled games, like Shovel Knight and even the original Super Mario, Bros.), the gameplay is kept as simple as it was back in 1995. Mastering the game, however, is a different story.
This game increases in difficulty dramaticly, and completing the game itself is an accomplishment (like the games of old, back when everything was pixelized and had a high degree of difficulty). This game is no different, despite having simple controls (even for a touchscreen game), but it is so satisfying to complete it. If anything, few were able to beat it, and I am one of those people.
Bottom line: great game, great gameplay, and sweet awesomeness.
